Improvised musicals sound impossible to most people — but they're far easier than you'd think, and incredibly fun! Join this short workshop and experience the magic of making up songs on the spot. It's built for absolute beginners, even if you have little to no experience with singing or improv theatre. Working through group exercises, we'll learn to build basic songs and play with the music together. By the end, you'll be ready to jump on stage — or just pitch a good game or two at the next pre-party. This workshop is led by Magnus Lomax Bjerke, a musician and improviser with many years of experience. He has performed and taught at festivals around the world and hosted the monthly show "Magnus' Musical Madness" at SALT Art & Music. He's part of Frie Tøyler and performs with the musical duo "Men Con Feelings." He loves teaching beginner workshops!
